SRINAGAR: National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah, while speaking to reporters, said that the United States and Israel have consistently opposed Iran’s pursuit of nuclear capabilities. He added, “This is the time for all Muslim countries to come together in unity. Many nations are hesitant to act due to fear of America and Israel. Today, Israel has bombed Iran and if this continues, the day may not be far when other Muslim countries could also face similar aggression.
Farooq Abdullah told reporters after a party meeting at Nawa-i-Subah that the silence of Middle Eastern Muslim nations over the US-Israel strikes on Iranian nuclear sites could make them vulnerable to similar attacks adding that the US “would try to destroy them as well, because they are silent.
He also cautioned that any disruption in oil supply from the region could have economic consequences for India.
Abdullah dismissed suggestions that former US President Donald Trump would play any constructive role in resolving the crisis. Instead, he accused Trump of being complicit in the conflict.
