Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will be on a day visit to Chhattisgarh on July 7 while Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi will be on a day visit to Odisha’s Bhubaneshwar on July 11 to address the Samvidhaan Bachao Rally.
According to Congress leaders, Rahul Gandhi will be travelling to Bhubaneshwar on July 11.
During his visit, the Congress leader will also hold meetings with the state leadership, which has been taking on the Mohan Charan Majhi led government in the state
The party leaders said that Rahul Gandhi will then also address the Samvidhaan Bachao Rally in the capital city.
The visit of Rahul Gandhi comes in the backdrop of a gangrape with a female college student by 10 people near a sea beach and also the assault on a Odisha officer by BJP leaders.
The National Human Rights Commission had also taken suo motu cognizance over the gangrape case.
Even Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will be visiting Chhattisgarh’s Raipur on July 7 and address the Kisan, Jawan, Samvidhan Bachao Rally there.
The Congress has been preparing for the programmes of the party chief and the Lok Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli.
The Congress plans to corner the government over the Constitution.
The party had last year in December during the extended CWC in Karnataka’s Belagavi had announced to hold the Samvidhaan Bachao rallies across the country.
Since then Congress had addressed several rallies across the country.
