
New Delhi: With assembly elections in Bihar scheduled later this year, the BJP has started identifying the residents of the states settled in other states as well as has appointed sever party MPs to lead the team in other states and highlight the works of the party and seek their votes, sources said.
According to sources, the BJP has formed a special team of several MPs from Bihar for the state residents settled in different across the country and have their proper data.
The source said that the MPs has been tasked to identify the residents of Bihar who have their voter IDs made in those states or those who have their voter ID card of Bihar.
The MPs tasked to identify these residents in other states have also been asked by the party leadership to stay in those states for at least a week every week and address them highlighting the work of the NDA government in the state.
The source also said that in every states the party MPs has been assigned to identify the non residents every district wise and what work they do.
For example, in Gujarat and Haryana only, the BJP has prepared the data of people residing in every district. The data, seen by this reporter, also shows how the population of these non residents have grown since 2020.
The source said that in Gujarat’s Surat the residents of Bihar have a total population of around 2.53 lakh, an increase of almost 50,000 from 2020.
Similarly, in Ahmedabad, the Bihar residents population accounts to approximately 50,000 up from 39,000 in 2020.
Similarly, data also includes population of Bihar residents from the districts of Kutchh, Vadodara, Rajkot, Valsad, Baruch and Jamnagar.
Similarly in Haryana, the data shows the population of Bihar residentsnin the districts of Faridabad, Sonepat, Gurugram, Panipat, Karnal, which has witnessed a significant growth in last five years.
Also the data of Chhattisgarh from districts of Korba, Raipur, Sarguja, Raigarh, Bilaspur and Koriya.
The source said that the party feels that it isnumportant to identify the non residents of Bihar to explain them about the work of the NDA-led government in the state and also target ther families back at home to vote for the NDA, where the elections are due later this year.
The BJP, which is having alliance with the Nitish Kumar-led Nitish Kumar, LJP-RV led by Chirag Paswan, Upendra Kushwaha led RLSP and others.
The BJP in 2020 assembly polls by winning 74 seats emerged as the second largest party in the state behind the Lalu Prasad Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal.
The BJP is planning to highlight the several schemes brought by the Narendra Modi-led government at the centre as well as NDA government in the state.
The party also plans to highlight the several project announcements in the state by Prime Minister Narendra Modi itself.
The voting for 243 member assembly is set to take place in the month of October and November, where the BJP-led NDA will take on the RJD-led Grand Alliance, which consists of Congress, VVIP and Left parties.
All the parties have started preparing foe the crucial assembly polls and have already started preparing for campaign strategy.
